Sand Casting Workshop Ring or Pendant

This sand-casting jewellery workshop invites you to create your own exquisite piece of sterling silver jewellery using the ancient & timeless techniques of wax carving and sand casting.

Tucked away just outside Porthleven, my studio offers a peaceful and welcoming setting where you can slow down,  away from the busyness of life, create, design and drink tea (or coffee), and enjoy a truly special and l friendly creative space.

It is a wonderful opportunity to bring your own style to life and create jewellery that feels deeply personal, with the option to include sand from a favourite local beach to capture the memory of a place you love. Suitable for beginners as well as experienced jewellers.  

You will begin by learning the art of wax carving and shaping a design for your mould, and you are very welcome to bring along your own shells or pebbles to make your piece even more meaningful.

You will then be guided through the sand-casting process, using Delft clay and local sand to create your mould, with the option to add sparkling zirconia stones for an extra touch of beauty. All Materials are included, including sterling silver. 

As the process involves high temperatures, each class is kept small so we can work safely, calmly and with plenty of personal guidance throughout.

Due to the nature of the process this is an adult course 18+.
