The Story
Welcome to Basire Jewellery & Workshops, where craftsmanship meets personal memory. Tucked away along the Cornish coast, my work is deeply rooted in the rugged, ever changing landscapes of the South West. Whether I am running along the coastal paths or taking in the sea air, exploring Cornwall is at the heart of everything I do.
My path to jewellery making began during the pandemic, a challenging time when I lost both of my parents. Inheriting my mother’s wedding ring gave me something to anchor myself to. That ring represents a lifetime of enduring love and resilience; whenever I face a difficult day, holding it brings an overwhelming sense of comfort and strength. It made me realize that the objects we wear can hold the people and places we treasure most. I founded Basire Jewellery & Workshops, so others could carry their own most meaningful moments with them every single day.
The Craft & Journey
Using sterling silver and traditional sand-casting techniques, I create unique, bespoke pieces crafted with actual sand from Cornish beaches. Whether it’s the shore where you sea swim, the spot where you got engaged, a favorite family holiday, or the place you met your partner, every piece locks those location based memories directly into the molten metal.
From carefully detailed pendants and necklaces to custom rings and earrings, each design celebrates quality, artistry, and the wild rugged beauty of the Cornish coast.
Beyond crafting individual collections, I love sharing this art form with others. I offer intimate, small-group workshops in a calm, relaxed environment where you can learn the sand-casting process and create your own memory filled jewellery.
I also provide a bespoke design service, including custom sand-cast sterling silver wedding bands, where you can be directly involved in the planning and creation of your rings.
